Sedation Dentistry Options

Our practice offers several unique sedation options to ensure you are as comfortable as possible.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

The most commonly used form of sedation. This method will allow you to remain conscious and in a totally relaxed state during the entire treatment. Nitrous oxide also lets you resume normal activities almost immediately after the procedure, including driving yourself home.

Oral Conscious Sedation

This needle-free option involves just taking a pill that has been personally prescribed by our expert dentist. This sedation method will put you in a calm state and will make your dental procedure relaxing and pain-free. This form of sedation will also allow you to stay awake and answer any questions from our professional dentist, giving you a more active role in your treatment.

IV Sedation

If you have a particularly strong fear of dental treatments, or you are undergoing a more lengthy procedure, we generally recommend a general anaesthetic. This is administered with an intravenous solution and can either make you mostly or fully unconscious, depending on your preference. IV sedation is completely safe, acts quickly and will last through your entire procedure. This form will require you to have someone else drive you home as the effects take a bit longer to wear off.

There’s No Need To Worry At Perfect Smiles!
